Liability Insurance:

General Liability - General Liability covers damages or injuries to third parties, caused by you or people in your employ.  Third parties would usually include anyone not doing work on your behalf.  General Liability usually excludes any professional services or design work, pollution events, injuries to persons in your hire, any damage or loss to property or goods you own or in your care and any motor vehicle related accident or claim.

Pollution and Contractors Pollution Liability Coverage - A coverage written or added to cover a third party from damages caused by air borne, surface or subsurface pollution that could have an adverse effect on a third party as the result of an event or spill caused by you.      Example – a 5 gallon pail of acid falling off a trailer and damaging vehicles on the freeway would be a pollution event.  This event is not covered by your General Liability or your Auto policy.

Automobile – Liability for automobiles is always included as the primary part of an automobile policy and is not included as a part of other liability coverage’s. 

Products and Operations –Coverage for nonprofessional operations and products are usually included in a general liability policy.  This includes services performed by and products manufactured or sold by your company.

Errors and Omissions – Coverage for a business doing consulting, engineering, design or anyone advising someone on what or how best to do something.  This coverage may be included on a limited basis in some policies for some classes of business.
